Franschhoek Boutique Hotel - Lion Roars Hotels & Lodges

We absolutely loved our stay at this hotel. The hotel is right in the centre of town, so we could walk everywhere. We parked our car in the ample hotel parking upon arriving on the Friday afternoon and didn't use it again until we left on the Sunday. All the amazing restaurants are right outside the hotel, and we highly recommend Ryan Boon Steak & Chips, and Let's Frite as evening dining options. Breakfast was well taken care of by the hotel, with all the continental options at your fingertips, delicious coffee & juice, but our favourite was the amazing eggs Benedict. The staff at this hotel could not do enough to help us, including calling us 10 minutes after departure to let us know we'd left clothes in the cupboard! The bed was incredibly comfortable, with crisp white linen and plenty of space. My husband loved the big shower, and I adored the big bath and fluffy bathrobes. The Nespresso machine in the room was an absolute win for a first morning coffee before heading to breakfast. We celebrated our anniversary at the hotel, and were greeted with a delicious bottle of bubbly on arrival, which was such a lovely touch. We did the Franschoek Wine Tram on the Saturday, which was an easy, beautiful walk from the hotel. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in franschoek, and we most certainly will be back, with friends!

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The location was absolutely perfect—very central, making it easy to explore Franschhoek. The rooms were spotlessly clean and had a cosy charm, especially with the little fireplace, which added such a lovely touch. Although we were initially worried about the smoke detectors when lighting the fireplace, everything worked out perfectly. The breakfast was good, and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, which made our stay even more enjoyable.

The Linnen was of the best quality, the bar fridge was well stock, the room smelled clean and fresh. the area that the Hotel is located in was peacefully and quiet. the Manager were verry helpful in assisting me in activities in the area

We loved the excellent view from the room. The fire place and underfloor heating keep the room warm in winter. The location is super convenient with plenty of good restaurants and cafes within close reach. There was a good variety to choose from for breakfast.

The position is perfect, close to everything you need! Super helpful and friendly staff and the breakfast was absolutely delicious. Best eggs benedicts!!
